UNDERGROUND OIL STORAGE TANK REMOVAL

PROCESS

• Owner to confirm the presence of any tanks on their property
• Applicant (Accredited Oil Tank Removal Company) to apply for a Demolition/Removal permit to remove tank ($50 fee)
• Applicant/Owner responsible to follow all fire codes and Ministry of Environment regulations when removing any underground tanks (Handouts available at City Hall – Development Services Department)
• Applicant is required to provide the City with a copy of the final remediation report for record purposes.
